I'm not entirely clear on that, although I have heard of it. I think it's more of a "he does not show interest period" thing versus "he shows interest but not in women." I see Barnaby as being stuck in arrested development romance/sex-wise because of intense focus on and desire for revenge since childhood, like Batman or Lelouch.
(Btw you have seen all the episodes and everything so I can talk about all the spoilers and such right?)

I don't read a lot of fic for this fandom, but I've read a small few good ones. Forumverse is pretty fun, then there's this kind of dark fic about Keith that I ended up liking anyway because it was done in a way that was generally plausible, and Relocated (and chapter 2 and chapter 3) by the same author, which is utterly hilarious.

I'm a bit surprised there are so many angst fics. I mean, T&B are mostly optimistic series, so why? what's with the need to increase the angst level?

Yeah, there's a lot of angst fic out there. Personally my favorite T&B stuff is light-hearted gen, being closest to the series itself, but I can see the appeal of a little angst too. What really gets me is this weird fanon!Keith I see pop up sometimes who, like, uses people for sex and such. I am not even fucking kidding, like did they even watch the show?

The most hilarious thing so far is Kotetsu/Yuri. Obviously, since Yuri "saved" him that once, they must be together forever.

My headcanon for Keith matches yours, which is why I'm so baffled (and irritated) by massively OoC Keith. I don't mind people writing him getting into a relationship and having sex, but there's an IC way to do it and I so rarely see it.

I've never seen Kotetsu/Yuri, actually, but I can see the justification there. I only see Kotetsu with Barnaby or Tomoe (or from that one author, Keith).
