Okay so I have been writing a lot lately for a bunch of different things. But I never have enough alone time to really get things finished, and then I get my writing!ADD going and I start a different project. BUT NOW!!! Now...

I am at my brother's house, in the middle of nowhere, isolated, and very soon to be alone. I am dog-and-house-sitting while my brother and his wife travel to Florida for her baby shower with her side of the family. I have their very nice computer all to myself for days and days. Dead silence but the panting of cute doggies.

So I should be publishing a good handful of things in the next couple of weeks.

If I don't, you'll know I wasted the week replaying Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on my brother's Wii. >___>

PREVIEWS AHOY! Some of the stuff I am working on:

where he can be found, chapter three -- Tiger & Bunny )

Bonjour, Zero! -- T&B + CG -- originally written for Yinake, but I accidently the deadline )

Necropolis rewrite -- Hikaru no Go --now with my one-trick pony of self-destructive-Shindo, blah )

for whom the heart beats -- a Fullmetal Alchemist oneshot )

...zeldaaaaaaNO BE STRONG

ALSO working on that Digimon thing for anonymous-- OMG I AM SORRY ANON, are you still lurking around? XD --and the next part of Virtuous Men. They just don't have anything coherent/interesting enough to warrant previews as of yet. :P

1. I have been writing more lately. Except that I keep skipping from project to project and so there isn't much to show for it.
2. I said that Naruto didn't make me cry. The latest chapter proved me WRONG WRONG WRONG. Even though the translation I read was clunky as hell. I bawled.
3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELARIELF.

re: #3:  Here is a teensy little snippet of the fic Elarielf wanted for her birthday: spectrums.
--> 3.A. It's long so I didn't get the entire fic done in time.
--> 3.B. So far it is a lot less porny than the rest of the series, and so this blurb at least is posted here.
--> 3.C. I'm considering editting the porn out of WHITE! and combining it with spectrums. and posting the whole thing as an extremely long oneshot on this, my main journal.

re: #3.C.: There are a few problems with this.
--> C.I. Is it really an Incubus story without the porn?
--> C.II. Does it really work as a oneshot if the beginning of the story is WHITE!'s beginning?
--> C.III. Should I be spending so much time on a piece that would work better as porn anyway?

...and now, without further ado-- and sorry for taking up your time-- here is the snippet, which is so not worth all the blabbering you just had to read:

spectrums. )

Hey, so. Snowdevil, Shiro, remember that Diethard+Ougi/Zero thing we were discussing? I decided to incorporate into Deceptions. >__>;;

And uh I have no idea about the quality of this blurb. I'm still fighting my way, kicking and screaming, through this writer's block. This scene was at least more appealing than the projects I'm supposed to be giving priority to. ;___;

Deceptions #2 is actually set before #1 )

A change in style for me. I am planning something with this. It will be an experiment.

End of series spoiler. Also, depressing, incredibly so. )

"Sirius, as all well and good and funny as this is..."

Sirius chuckles and looks up, a lazy smile stretching his face. August is a blanket over the scene, and from inside the house he hears the faint cooing back-and-forth of Lily and Harry, her new son. James smiles, too, chin resting in hand. Sirius happens to notice that his glasses are slowly sliding down his nose for the sweat on his skin.

But there's something a little more serious in James' eyes. Something low and sharp and breaking. Something unlike James and yet also like. So like him to give his sharp little smirk, whether happy or mischievous or angry or even when he feels dangerous.

Sirius gulps the last of his tea, places the cup gently down on the table. Wind chimes sound where they hang from the overheads of the cozy Potter home. Sirius keeps smiling, just like James.

"What is it, Prongsie?"

James glances inside, as if to make sure his wife and new baby boy aren't in earshot, and then he leans forward. Sirius leans in as well, ready for a secret.

"This isn't where you're supposed to be, Sirius."

Sirius feels his smile twitch and falter. He huffs a laugh or two, waiting for the joke. "What do you mean?"

James shakes his head, nigh pitying. (Sometimes James can get on his fucking high horse and--)

(hold on. where had THAT come from? what was that nasty little thought for?)

James licks his lips and grins again, but it's a grin like, 'come on man, get it together'. "Sirius... What's the last thing you remember?"

Sirius looks around, startled by this seriousness, and also startled how no one else seems to notice. As he looks around, Remus, Peter, and Lily all turn away. He shakes his head as he feels some strange sensation wash over him.

"I've been here--"

"Before that."

Sirius turns back to his best friend and stares him down, right in the eye.

James draws in a breath and says like it's hard for him to admit, "You're not supposed to be here. Don't you remember? You fell here. Come on, Padfoot. Where did you come from?"

Sirius sits, uncomprehending, for several long moments, brain working like rats in a maze. Then suddenly, he gasps, understanding finally, remembering finally a falling and a screaming and Harry screaming for him--

Sirius' chair tips backwards, and he falls through the ground--

back through the veil.

Suzaku looks up, only to find himself at the bad end of a gun barrel.

The Black Knights. Their uniforms nearly blend in with the encroaching darkness here in the ghettos, away from the neon shining lights of the Britannian city, but their guns shine by the moonlight. Suzaku stares down the closest man, but they're all carrying guns, and Suzaku feels his mind start to go hazy under the power of that damn Geass curse.

Suzaku snarls and tightens his grip on Lelouch's arms. With all the murderous intent he can muster, Suzaku turns his gaze back to Lelouch-- ready to see that horrible, superior smirk on his face, that terrible feeling of being played sinking in his gut even though he expected this all along --but... Lelouch is afraid.

And Lelouch, also, has a gun pressed right up against his head.

"W-wait!" Lelouch breathes. His face is stony, but Suzaku can hear the barest shiver in his voice. "Why are you--"

"Well, how convenient!"

Suzaku draws in a sharp breath. That voice-- the metallic, robotic voice of the Zero mask --sends a shiver up his spine. Suzaku fights the Geass threatening to overtake him and charge at the gunmen so that he may turn, one hand still clutching Lelouch's arm, and face his nemesis.

Zero melts out of the darkness, tall and thin, just like Lelouch but even taller. Suzaku gapes at the figure, startled and confused enough to forget temporarily about the guns aimed at his head.

Zero says, "I set one trap and caught two mice. You make things too easy, Kururugi, coming here where my people are wired."

Suzaku tries to say something, but can't. He stares at Zero, drinking in the appearance of that uniform, that faceless mask, and then swings his head to stare at Lelouch. But Lelouch, like Suzaku, is entranced, eyes wide and mouth in a tight frown.

"Y-you..." Suzaku whispers finally. Lelouch whips his head around to Suzaku, startled that something so venomous is being directed not at Zero but at him. "What kind of game is this, Lelouch?"

"Me!" Lelouch snaps, scandalized. "They're here for you! Sir knight of seven, man who captured Zero one year ago!"

"...what?" Suzaku feels his brain go numb, not from Geass this time but from his own confusion. Suzaku looks back at Zero, as if he can find some sort of answer in that clueless mask.

Zero laughs darkly. "Poor boy. So he really has lost his memory?"

Lelouch opens and closes his mouth, working like a fish. He appears to be dumbfounded, and finally says, "Memory? You're mistaken! I haven't--"

Zero pushes on, interrupting Lelouch smoothly, and even Lelouch, who would bow usually to no one, is cowed by Zero's sheer oppressive presence. "I heard there was some sort of amnesia. The Black Knights were constantly trying to retrieve him, after all, but there was never any response."

"Ougi Kaname?"

Ougi looks up at Zero, expecting Zero to continue. But it was not Zero who spoke. Ougi looks at the frozen frame of the masked man, and then slowly recognizes the voice and its source. Ougi and Zero simultaneously look down, to see the dull, wet eyes of the Emporer slide open and come into focus.

In shock they stare at it, not quite comprehending. And then everything falls apart, and the body relaxes in their arms. Zero and Ougi stumble forward with the sudden change in the distribution of weight and the body crashes into the floor. Behind them, Nunally screams.

Ougi is the first one to react, and he does so in a surprising way: he leaps to the door and shuts it, engaging once more all the locks. The door closes on the faces of a few Black Knights who had come running by Nunally's scream, but who weren't around-- thankfully, Zero thinks later --to hear the Emperor's body speak. They pound on the door and Ougi, flipping switches on to illuminate the room, calls through the crack for his soldiers to stand down. They do, and Ougi turns slowly back to the corpse which--

--which may not be a corpse after all.

The body twitches once or twice on the floor, but it does not otherwise move or again speak as the three in the room stare at it. Ougi, bravely, approaches first and turns it onto its back.

The eyes are the most living part of it. It is still pale as death and just as unmoving, but the eyes are blinking, half-hooded, shining, and looking back and forth, all around the room. As if the Emperor was waking from some deep sleep.

Zero can see the cold sweat breaking across Ougi's forehead. He lays his bare hand on the Emperor's neck.

"There's no pulse," the man whispers.

"I killed him," Zero confirms, just as quietly. "He died. The body was rigid, you felt it."

Trapped in a paradox and clueless as to Zero's growing epiphany of horror, Ougi checks for every sign of life in the book. He looks into the eyes and puts his ear to the chest-- to the pierced heart, expecting it to beat despite the gaping hole in it. Puts his hand to the lips and fingers on the wrist.

"Nothing," he says, face twisted into the most intense frown Zero has ever seen. "Nothing!"

Zero turns back to Nunally, who looks on with wide eyes and a hand to her mouth, shivering as she presses herself to the wall.

And then-- just at that moment-- the Emperor draws a shuddering, gasping, deprived breath-- the breath of a man close to drowning breaking the water surface --and springs back to life.

Mini-fills for the kinkmeme.

1. Short-story request. Inspired by a fill for the one-liner request. Rating: Light R, I think. Warnings for disturbing imagery.

Truly, in death, the emperor gave his all to the people. )

2. Suzaku as a single father. Mini-fill because I can't write little kids. (Maybe if I had a co-writer...) Rating: PG-13.

She said, Don't worry about it. )
