I feel like I owe this big, huge review, but I really can't tell you more than that I *enjoyed*, and that I thought the relationship dynamics were lovely in this.
I had a lot of fun re-reading and finishing this fic yesterday, and I can only tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed <3. The emotional response you garnered out of me was: 'happiness', 'nostalgia' and, at the end, a feeling wavering between 'sad' and 'strangely satisfied'.
Not everything has been fixed or is going to be, but yet you feel that these characters have overcome all -- in their own way -- a huge obstacle.
(And I do think that Shirley not remembering is the best thing for her, at this point.)
I liked that you kept this gen, but did some lovely ship teasing here and there <3. That's always fun, and more rewarding sometimes than having fully hinted at pairings.
Okay, ending this here. And shorter, sorry. I'll comment when you post this on FFN *not bribing :P*
so this is going to be shorter for once, sorry!
