I'm not too good at explaining why I love stories in general, but I just want to thank for writing this and sharing it with us. Because it was...powerful, beautifully written, and really just fantastic. I think writing everything from Shirley's POV made it even more interesting, especially since you still managed to convey everyone's emotions so perfectly.
