I still remember my reaction to the first sex scene in both the anime and the manga:
Anime: "Aww, that's kind of sweet." Manga: "Ew. That's kind of rape."
I think the anime is a good first introduction to yaoi (if not general shonen-ai), because it has ALL the problematic elements that seems to be intrinsic to that genre but they're somewhat watered down. As opposed to, say, Ai no Kusabi where... 'watered down' is not how I'd describe it. :p
And the voice acting is A++, which is why I watched it in the first place. XD
